Anime Impressions Spring 2013

Since I am watching quite a few shows this season, I thought I would just leave my impressions and the number of episodes of the shows that I am currently watching, enjoy! DATE A LIVE (1-3): By far, my favorite show this season. The fighting is very intense, and while at first I scoffed at the plot (Date Aliens to save mankind!), this anime makes it plausible. The characters are really good too. I really like it when the male mc of a series like this is not a pushover, and Itsuka is proving himself to be one of those characters. I also think it's cute how Touka is constantly trying to fin out what a date is in episode 3, and comes to several conclusions. I can't wiat to see where this show goes in the future. Hentai Ouji to Warawanai Neko (1-2): This has become my second favorite show, but that really only happened after episode 2. I love anime that focuses on characters who are not part of the 'norm' like how Haganai deals with characters who have no friends. Thi...

Alienware and Ubuntu

Alienware, the Dell owned gaming computer manufacturer, is now offering Alienware X51's (My Machine) pre-installed with Ubuntu Linux rather than Windows 7 or 8. In my opinion I an quite excited, I love Linux, but the only area that it is not up to snuff with is high end gaming. Ever since Stream was announced for Linux , the opportunities for gaming on the OS has gone into overdrive, and looks like even Alienware is attempting to see what they can do with it. It looks like these computers will also come with Steam per-installed as well. Since Ubuntu Linux is free, the computer is even $100 less at $599 vs $699 for the Windows equivalent. As or the machine itself, I own the Windows 7 X51, and I'm quite pleased with it. It is a very compact, yet powerful machine, that I can connect to my own monitor or the HDTV in the living room. I run Linux Mint on mine through Virtualbox, and have a Windows 3.11 setup through DosBox. To read more info about these machines go here . To lear...

Anime Spring 2013

So here we are again at the beginning of a new anime season. So, just like before, here is the link to the chart of the Spring Season, which goes from April (Actually end of March) to May 2013! I would post it here, but it is a very large image, that never seems to fit within the bounds of this blog, so I'll just link it this time. I'm interested in Red Data Girl, Railgun S, Date A Live, Devil Survivor 2 and Hentai Ouji, are they any series that pique your interest? Credit goes to Neregate.com !
