The Gestahlian Empire

As the 26th rolls around once again, It is time to celebrate the birthday of my favorite Senran Kagura character: Murasaki <3 Murasaki is first introduced in Senran Kagura: Shinovi Versus and is a 2nd year at Hebijo Academy. She lacks basic social skills and avoids contact with people, to the point that she is the only truant student in the school's history. She mostly stays in her room reading online novels, playing video games, or watching anime with her stuffed bear Bebeby. She has a very cynical outlook on life, and tends to interpret everything negatively. In battle Murasaki uses large shurikens that are woven in her hair as well as emit waves of energy due to her 'Root of Calamity' ability. She also has the strange ability to sniff information about another person's inner character. Lastly, she also sports the largest chest in the series at 105 cm. I first fell in love with her, after finishing her backstory in Shinovi Versus (Play the game, it's real...

I just realized after going through other posts online, but today is Oppai (breasts) day in Japan, due to the date when written as 08/01 can be interpreted as 0 = o, 8 = pa, and, 1 = i, which spells oppai. So, Happy Oppai Day! EDIT (8/2): Also Happy Pantsu day on August 2nd!! The top image is from Hajimete no Gal, an anime airing this season.

Yep, another b-day post, but this time it's not a Love Live character, but instead Murasaki from Senran Kagura. For those who don't know, or haven't seen my avatar on several different sites (Google, Steam, MAL, amongst others), Murasaki is my favorite character, and I would even go as far as to call her my Waifu. Today I got the physical edition of Senran Kagura Shinovi Versus. I fell in love with the Senran Kagura series after watching the anime adaptation of the first game. I thought the games would never hit US shores, so I was shocked to hear that Xseed brought them over. I don't own a 3DS yet. (I'm waiting for the New 3DS), but when this PS Vita game arrived I got on that immediately.  Here is the box: ...and here's the contents! The Physical Edition comes with: Shinobi Syllabus (Character Info & Artbook) 39 track Soundtrack sampler Reversible cover for the Vita case The game itself...   The whole package together is 49.99. You can get it from Amazon here .

As I've mentioned in a previous post, I recently stared playing Scarlet Blade . Pretty soon on March 26th (Tomorrow!) The Closed Beta (I will refer to this as CB from now on) will end at 6:30 PM PST. While Open Beta (OB) has not been announced yet, The servers will be wiped, which means I'll lose my character data :( Unlike CB, when OB starts, the servers will not be wiped when it is over, so you can keep your character. Here is my CB Character Ibis, Isn't she cute? (I love girls in glasses) After getting out of the training area, you end up in Enocia. Ibis is still wearing the basic armor. During the weekend, they were giving out schoolgirl costumes to all who were playing. So, as you can guess, here's Ibis in one. (Don't get her mad...) Shooting...  And just standing around... Not only are the characters pretty, the environment is gorgeous, Here is an overlook of Enocia.  And sitting in a Junkyard with my Robot pet, who I named GLaDOS (After...

In the US, Aeria Games is going to start the closed beta test for the Free-to-play MMO Scarlet Blade (It is also known as Queen's Blade in Korea...not related to the Japanese anime series.) It is a game with a heavy focus on fighting especially PvP battles. The game is also known for it's rather adult themes. The cast is ONLY female and as can be expected, scantily clothed. The game also lets you select from six classes: Defender (The Swordswoman), Medic (Healer class), Punisher, Sentinel (Tank class), Shadow Walker and Whipper. The game's characters are split in two factions which you can join as well. As I have said before in other articles, I love this crap, so I know I'm in. Here is a story trailer for the game: And here's the character trailer: If you are interested in this game, you can join the closed beta here . There is more info and screenshots to be round at my favorite RPG website:  RPGamer . *Edit, I joined the closed beta,...

Ah fanservice, I have an odd relationship with thee. On one hand, I LOVE it, but I believe it alone cannot carry a story. It's the reason why I love Queen's Blade season two, but I don't care for the first season as much. (Rebellion is okay so far though). Now, Senran Kagura is based on the 3DS (and soon PS VITA) title of the same name. You basically get to control a bunch of ass-kicking busty women who fight against ninja and it has a clothes ripping system when you take damage; that alone is enough to pique my interest (yeah, yeah I know I'm shallow), but as I am still learning Japanese, and the fact that I wound need to import a Japanese 3DS to play it, means that I could never try the game anytime soon. When I learned that there was an anime adaption of the game I decided that I would give it a try, and I've got to say that if you expect a light sugary anime you will also be surprised. The anime revolv...
